This weekend marks the beginning of a new chapter for CaliWAR — and we’re coming in hot.
On Saturday, April 26th, CaliWAR Women’s Football Team heads to Reno to take on the Nevada Storm, officially launching our 2025 season as part of the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA). But the real celebration? It’s happening right here in Los Angeles — Saturday, May 10th at 5:00 PM at St. Bernard High School — with a home opener that’s not just a game, but a full-on experience.
We’re bringing the heat on and off the field with a night packed with energy, talent, and community. L.A.’s own rising R&B artist Carjanae will deliver a soul-stirring performance of the National Anthem, and celebrity DJ King Eric, known for turning up the crowds at Los Angeles Chargers and Clippers games, will be live on the turntables, keeping the energy high. To top it off, TV and radio personality Nikki Rich will be in the building as one of our featured VIP guests, showing love and support for women making history in sports.
But this is more than just entertainment — this is a movement.
Women’s tackle football has existed for decades, and yet, it’s still fighting for the recognition and support it rightfully deserves. The women of CaliWAR train like professionals, play like warriors, and pour their hearts into this game. And they do it all while paying out of pocket to play. That’s right — no contracts, no millions, just passion, grit, and purpose.
For many of our players, football is more than a sport — it’s a lifeline. It’s therapy. It’s a community. It’s healing. And now, more than ever, it’s time for the community to show up and support these powerful women who are rewriting the rules.
We’re calling on fans, families, influencers, athletes, and allies across Southern California to come out and be part of this moment. Whether it’s your first time watching women’s football or you’re a longtime supporter, this home opener is your chance to witness greatness, up close and personal.
Let’s pack the stands, turn up the energy, and show the world that women’s tackle football belongs on the main stage.
